The first German-language podcast for sustainable agricultural supply chains.

29.01.2021 – Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chain Initiative (INA)

Have you ever wondered what role digitization plays in global supply chains? What does your cup of coffee have to do with Blockchain? Or are you dealing with gender inequality in the cocoa harvest? Do you know what impact populism has on sustainable development?

This and other varied questions of development cooperation are the subject of the first German-language podcast for sustainable agricultural supply chains.

We join Christoph Bals, policy director at Germanwatch, to take a look back at Germany’s EU Council presidency and ask how the EU can become more sustainable.

Coffee that comes to Germany by sailing ship is the subject of our conversation with Jens Klein. After spending some time in Central America, Klein founded Café Chavalo and now works with coffee cooperatives in Nicaragua to bring sustainable coffee to the German market.

By the way, FOGS magazine lists our podcast “From field to shelf” as one of the best podcasts on evironmental protection and sustainability. We’re very pleased to hear that!
