The aim of the initiative is to raise awareness for the protection of biodiversity in the food industry. The aim is to reach agreement on a basic set of criteria for the protection of biodiversity, which will be incorporated into existing standards and supplier specifications in the food industry.

The focal points of the industry initiative are:

  • Implementation and continuous development of the basic set of biodiversity criteria in the food industry.
  • Dissemination and further development of further education modules on biodiversity for representatives of the food industry.
