Monitoring and protection measures for fauna in the El Tigre Private Wildlife Refuge

Fresh Del Monte seeks to establish new protection measures and continuously monitor the wealth of fauna they protect through awareness and surveillance spaces in the wooded areas of the El Tigre Mountain Wildlife Private Reserve, located next to the pineapple plantation on the Volcán farm in Buenos Aires, Puntarenas.

The project seeks to:

• Increase the knowledge and protection of the wildlife in the refuge and in the forest areas around the pineapple plantations.
• Train company staff in wildlife monitoring to replicate it on other company farms.
• Educate the community and staff in biodiversity conservation.
